#TrueSchool, Kobby Majors’s new and highly anticipated EP, drops next Monday—giving us a six-track peek into who the rapper truly is, sonically.
The night, the Ghanaian-Taadi Base award winning rapper gathered #MajorMinds and day-one supporters to Melody Hotel last weekend for an intimate listening party celebrating the release of his much talked about EP – True School
The night was simply a vibe—folks enjoyed libations and bites from all the six tracks produced by Elorm (Track 1) & Swit (Track 2-6) with all the Mixing and Mastering done by Elorm Beat.
Kobby opened the gathering up with a thoughtful explanation to the meaning of his EP’s artwork (which was proudly designed by Ian Quachi), the EP itself and most importantly the controversies behind the title, #TrueSchool, which he schooled us as, the blend of both the New and Old School Music/ sounds into one master piece.
The rapper then walked the audience through each track from #TrueSchool, opening up about the creative process of how each track came to life.
Following, Kobby engaged invited guests in an even more in-depth Q+A session and sharing his thoughts on the continued rise in popularity HipHop and Rap music in Takoradi and Ghana as whole, which is having in mainstream music, his hopes for the future and more. Yours truly Kwame Legend moderated the session and was also the MC of night.
The project is full of tracks that are worthy of being on repeat.
True School will be available on 54vibes.com on the 18th of November, 2019 and be sure to take a look at photos from the listening party by D.E.F Nation Ltd. and all visuals from the evening will be made available also on Vibe With Us online TV.
