#TECHVIBES: Google+ is shutting down

Google is shutting down the Google+ social network.

Google is Shutting Down Google+, Admits Low Consumer Adoption. Google is shutting down Google+ for consumers following a security breach. A software bug was discovered that gave developers access to private profile data of over 500,000 users. … There is also no evidence that any data has been misused

Google will stop supporting Google+ APIs in early March and Google+ will be shut down entirely on April 2, 2019.

Effective March 6th, Most platforms will no longer support posting to Google+ profiles and pages.

Here’s what you need to know:
Posting to Google+ Profiles and Pages will no longer be supported

As of March 6th no post to Google+ profiles and pages will
longer work. All feeds and queues will stop posting to Google+ profiles and pages on that date.

The goo.gl link shortener will no longer be supported

The good nows is, any links you’ve already shortened with goo.gl will continue redirecting to their target URL.

If you are using the goo.gl shortener for your other related posts, it will continue posting your items without interruption but not for long i guess. You can update your shortener settings ASAP.
