The St. Stephen’s Mass Servers Choir which was formed in August, 2009 but officially launched in January, 2017 at the Star of the Sea Cathedral, Takoradi by the Vicar General of the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese of the Catholic Church.
It was formed under the inspiration of Most Rev. Peter Akwasi Sarpong, Emeritus Archbishop of the Kumasi Archdiocese who is now the Spiritual Father of the Choir.
The aim of the choir is to evangelize the kingdom of God through music, unearth and develop young talent in music and also to help shape societal morals and values through music.
The choir will on Sunday, 1st July, 2018, come your way with a Republic Day Musical Concert dubbed GHANA MY HAPPY HOME at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel on the theme, “Our first duty is to build Ghana as a First Class Nation” – Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
This epic display of Ghanaian musical repertoire will be accompanied by Drama, Poetry, Painting, Dance and many more. This is a social project to raise funds to support the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
