Samini takes up new challenge, turns onion farmer

Legendary Reggae/Dancehall musician, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, best known by his stage name Samini has ventured into agriculture.

The Highgrade family boss is the latest in the entertainment industry to join the Agriculture business after the likes of actor John Dumelo and rapper Trigmatic ventured the trade.

The onion farm which is reported to cover 24 acres is not the only farming activity the ‘My Own’ crooner owns as he is said to own a cassava plantation which is also situated in his home region, the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Samini who has had other forms of businesses running aside his music also owns a private restaurant and pub in dansoman, a suburb of Accra which he opened in June,2014.

The 36 year old music legend took to his social media page to share the success of his new business to his fans.

He wrote; “More from #highgradefarms …. #farming #agriculture is the future.. one seed at a time,one grain at a time ,one acre at a time and before you know you are feeding the world. My onions ????????????????”
