In the words of Jesus Christ in the Christian Bible, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.” Yes!, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. popularly called Shatta Wale has suffered from the same fate.
Regardless of the fact that he has been consistent in our music industry, countless numbers of music enthusiasts as well as pundits call him ‘a local champion artiste‘. But then, those in Liberia think otherwise per the latest development.
The self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale has had a beach and football club named after him in Liberia. Shatta Wale took to social media to express his gratitude by sharing photos and video of his fanbase in Liberia and how they have honored him in that African country.
“LIBERIA I SEE THE LOVE…NAMING A BEACH AND A FOOTBALL CLUB AFTER SHATTA MOVEMENT….#SM4LYF,” he posted.
