After going without a headline sponsor for almost three seasons, Ghana Premier League is has finally announced a headline sponsor in a mega deal with Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Zylofon Group.
Zylofon Cash are the new headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League after agreeing on a mega five-years deal worth $10 million with the Football Association.
The top flight has over the past three years been without a major sponsor after First Capital Plus Bank, now Capital Bank terminated their five-year contract after just two seasons. The unveiling of the lucrative new deal was done on Thursday.
The 16 Ghana Premier League clubs are expected to receive a $2m annually over the period.
Nana Appiah expressed his company’s pride in their strategic partnership with his burgeoning Zylofon Cash and the exciting Ghana Premier League.
“Zylofon Media has proudly taken the decision to sponsor the league for the next five years. Now, the Ghana Premier League would be called the Zylofon Cash Ghana Premier League,” Zylofon boss Nana Appiah Mensah said.
GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi expressed the GFA’s gratitude to Zylofon Cash for their immense support of Ghana football.
“We are eternally grateful to the Chief Executive Of Zylofon Group, Nana Appiah Mensah and his team for their decision to invest in the Ghana Premier League and Ghana football.”
“I will like to assure you that your decision to come on board as a sponsor is laudable step taken and a very worthy cause you are pursuing.”
The GFA President was of the firm belief that massive injection of cash into the league will help both the clubs and the GFA to make the Premier League much better.
He also urged all stakeholders to ensure that the sponsor gets its deserved mileage.
“We must all avail ourselves to ensure that the benefits we have ensured for Zylofon Cash are delivered without a hindrance.”
The GFA President, also assured Ghanaians that: ”The money will go into developing the league, the clubs, management and players welfare,”

Zylofon Cash is a web-based platform which allows creative persons to monetize their artistic talents through uploads of their contents or ideas.
