The Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), Mr Yaw Kwakwa has been sacked from office following the directive of President Akufo-Addo.
A letter dated, February 4, 2022, through the Ministry of Transport said, “His Excellency the President of the Republic, per letter No. OPS 127/22/104 dated 31st January 2022, has directed that the appointment of Mr Yaw Kwakwa as the Managing Director of Ghana Airport Company Limited be terminated”.
This comes after the Managing Director issued a letter last week to suspend the operation of McDan’s new private jet terminal.
However, the reason for Yaw Kwakwa’s dismissal was not stated in the letter from the Transport Ministry.
