Some say there is beauty in new beginnings, but I believe the most beautiful phase of change isn’t something new but progress. A continuous effort to adapt to change, to embrace the past and stretch into the future using the trials we’ve overcome, the things we’ve acquired and learned, what we’ve been able to do, and apply that to dealing with what lies ahead.
New beginnings are fine, but we are not newcomers to life; we are here to make it count. And yes, we don’t have clean slats, but we accept and embrace the marks on them because those are what make us resilient.
So we stretch further into a new dawn and a new day, but not a new beginning, for it’s a chance to continue what we’ve already started.
