Instagram today is further expanding the capabilities of its stories feature.
In a blog post this morning, Instagram has announced a new “Type” mode for stories that lets users share anything on their mind, with no text or video required.
Instagram touts that Type mode allows creators to “turn your most random thoughts into something colorful and expressive.”
“Today, we’re introducing “Type” mode in stories, a new way to share anything that’s on your mind with creative text styles and backgrounds – no photo or video required. From there you, can write out whatever you want and choose from a host of different fonts, backgrounds, and more,” said a statement from the company.
Just Tap “Type” and write whatever comes to mind – your favorite lyrics, a silly thought or a random idea – and play with different styles to change the look and feel.
